A Quick Story

Hello again,

I just wanted to share a quick story.

My journey from writer to author was transformational. I went from someone who was extremely private to someone who shared my day-to-day life with the online world. I did it because it was the best way to get exposure for my upcoming book release.

Was it comfortable for me? Heck no.

Was I proud of myself for continuing to move forward even though I was terrified? Absolutely.

One of the reasons I was able to keep moving forward was because of the love and support of my family. My husband always gave me the, “It’ll be okay” when I needed it. My girls would listen when I had something to work through, often social media-related. And my son Matthew was by my side, sitting on the floor reading a book and making sure I knew he was available to talk through anything that needed discussing. His enthusiasm and belief in me helped more than he knows.

This experience has proven to me and my family that you can make your dreams come true.

I always believed that you could make your dreams come true if you wanted them badly enough, and many of my dreams have come true, but they were the more traditional ones. The ones that are the norm.

Writing and publishing a book is outside the norm for most, but it doesn’t have to be something that is only a dream. It can be done. Think of it as a hobby if that helps. It did for me.

Perhaps my previous post called “I’ve Had a Life-Changing Idea. Want to Be a Part of It?” was missed (because it is hard to keep up with everything we see online) or perhaps you’ve already made up your mind that writing isn’t something you are interested in or you aren’t ready to commit to it at this time, but I didn’t want you to miss the Early Committer pricing for the course which I am calling Make a Splash Self-Publishing: Test the Waters Before Diving In of $107, which ends at noon this Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Want to launch 2022 with a commitment to learning more about what all is involved with self-publishing, email me at cindy@cindyfolkauthor.com and tell me that you are in!
