Author Checklist and BookFunnel
One of the most frustrating things I've encountered with my writing experience so far is the technology behind the website design and function. Over and over again, I kept hearing about the 'reader magnet' and that you need to create something to give away for free in order to create interest in you, your site, or your brand. You need to give away something of interest or value.
My website has two audiences; the first is the group that is interested in reading Northern Escape, the second is the group that is interested in what goes on behind the scenes of getting a book onto the shelf.
For this reason, it would make sense to provide two separate giveaways. The first could be the first chapter or two of my book, and the second a tool to help make it as easy as possible for new authors to navigate the process.
While I wait for the first to be finished, I've put together the second, my Author Checklist.
Even better, I've figured out how to get it to you!!
All a person needs to do, I've learned, is save the document as a pdf file and create an account on BookFunnel. There is a charge of $100/year for this but it is a critical tool to gain interest.
If you are considering starting this journey with me, if you remember nothing else, remember BookFunnel!!
