A Personal Invitation from Cindy . . .

I’ve wanted to do more for as long as I can remember.

As soon as I completed university with a Bachelor of Administration majoring in Finance, my creative side started to whisper. While I worked for small consulting companies in Ontario, I learned about project management and budgeting, and the restlessness quieted for a while. I moved back home and worked as a project manager for a telecommunications management company. In that role, my creative side began to shout. I was not happy as a project lead in a political environment. I learned to lead, plan, and organize, but I retreated to a quieter cubicle where I played with numbers, analyzed, set up processes, created procedures, and provided reporting. And I presented my findings to various groups. I became more adept, but I stayed cautious and safe. Head down, I worked hard but tried not to get involved. Even so, I knew I was capable of so much more.

I knew that writing satisfied my creative side, but until I decided to move forward with it and try writing a book, I did not realize that I would enjoy it so much. It focused and relaxed me. I was happy, content. 

Until my manuscript had sat in a drawer for too long, and it was time to move forward.
