Research Author Sites

Before starting your own author web site, I recommend looking at other author web sites that are already up and running. Find your favourites and focus on the elements you would like to incorporate in yours.

Sketch out a plan or flowchart of how you would like yours to look and work. Then stick that plan on the wall if you need to so that you can stay on track. Keep it simple at the beginning, you can have fun tweaking it to perfection later on.

Focus on one part of your website at a time and watch tutorials when you get stuck. Actually, plan on watching a lot of tutorials and try to be patient as you do. Don’t worry, you will get there. If I can do it, so can you.
