THE WRITING EXPERIENCE January 2021, Issue No. 1
So, I’ve been worrying about this monthly newsletter that I have been wanting to do.
Initially I set it up on Canva and it helped me to create a beautiful newsletter. Unfortunately, I couldn’t copy and paste it into the body of the email (it looked something like this {“A?”:”B”,“a”:5,”d”:”B”} . . .), I could only attach the PDF or copy screen shots in. Neither of these options sat well with me. I am guessing that if I had the paid subscription I could do more but while I am just starting out I want to save where I can.
I tried copying my content and pictures into an email but was not happy with that either. Formatting was a pain.
I decided it was time to check out these automated newsletter options I kept reading about.
I read articles on MailerLite versus MailChimp and felt more comfortable going with MailerLite for now. They both appear to be excellent options but I wanted to keep it simple and MailerLite seemed to be the better choice for me in that way. I signed up and set up my first newsletter. It was a breeze!
I am really happy with MailerLite. It feels professional and is free for the first 1,000 subscribers.
