Reason to Write #3: You Have Creative Energy to Burn

Now and again, I have creative energy to burn. I will spend an hour or two writing non-stop. My mind takes me to another place, a make-believe world where words pour out of me and onto the page. Unfortunately, I also may have more creative projects and ideas than I could hope to achieve. That can be a challenge for the creative as well. In these moments, I also write.

Writing provides focus and slows me down. It makes me present and can be especially helpful in this online world in which we live—where we scroll and scroll and rarely stop to read.
