We All Have a Story to Tell – Tell Yours
We all have a story to tell and all we need to do to get that story out there, is to persist. Write your story and review it. Put in the time to edit it then ask for feedback from family, friends or a critique group of some sort. There are lots out there. Work with your story until you feel that it is close, then hire an editor to help you polish it into a novel. Simple, huh?
Yes, I am simplifying, but I am also tired of people making it seem harder than it is. For example, the phrase writer’s block is thrown around a lot. I don’t like the use of the term. If you don’t feel like writing, don’t. Instead, work on another aspect of your writing - research, for example. There is always tomorrow to get those words down on the page. The main thing is to keep showing up. When you show up, things get done. Write when you are in the mood and tell that story that is in you, waiting to get out.
